<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Buckeye Sans 2"">I’ve heard that there have been some issues with the distillation apparatus with CPC. I’ve been told some things that don’t make us look good:<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Buckeye Sans 2"">-Prep lab students were asking Lab Supervisors how to do prep lab maintenance duties.

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Buckeye Sans 2"">-Some water/ice buckets had so little water in them the pump was making a grinding noise.
<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Buckeye Sans 2"">-The discharge tube coming from the condenser was not in the water/ice bucket and all the water was pumped down the drain.<o:p></o:p></span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal"><span style="font-family:"Buckeye Sans 2"">This is not acceptable. It sounds like some of you have not watched the video on setup and maintenance of this apparatus. The link is pasted below for your convenience. Please familiarize yourself
with these procedures before Thursday, which is the next day we will use this apparatus.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
