Stage 3 Reopening - Update on repurpose of Conf Room 1136 - Catalog of Received Packages

Physics Department members who are anticipating deliveries or are planning to return to research under approved Stage 3 plans are offered the below update.

All others can ignore this message and accept my apologies for the spam.

As previously announced, Conference room 1136 has been repurposed to serve two new functions as follows:

1.) For PRB entries where the entering party has forgotten to take their temperature or does not have access to a thermometer, the room has an area set up with an IR thermometer for such use.  This area has gloves, masks, and cleaning supplies if needed to perform the temperature check or to get to your lab.  Please do not pull PPE or supplies from this area for general use as the total amount available is very limited.

2.) For received packages, central receiving is delivering items each day to the loading dock.  The on-site team is bringing these items to 1136, sorting them by recipient, and labeling them with simple post-it notes.  If you are anticipating a delivery, please enter the room, check for your items, and retrieve them.  Carts are present in the room for individual use to transport received goods to the lab, but please return the cart immediately after use as they are needed each day by the site team.

3.) The attached PDF shows a series of photos that give a snapshot of the room status as of 2:00 pm on Friday 19-JUN-2020.  You can see the temperature check station and the catalog of received goods on the main table and around the room.

4.) Please try your best to retrieve your items as soon as conditions allow as there is limited space in the room for processing the many deliveries.  If the room becomes overfilled, we may take some deliveries directly to your lab so if you look for an item from the catalog and do not find it, check your lab.

p.s. the lock on 1136 is newly re-cored to match the bicycle room core so that any Physics key can open the door.  I would note however that it turns with some difficulty so please be persistent with it.
