Physics Safety & Infrastructure Committee information

Dear Physics Faculty, Staff and students,

The Physics Safety & Infrastructure Committee would like to announce that there is a new tab on the physics department website under the "Faculty  and Staff Resources" tab at https://physics.osu.edu/faculty-staff called "Safety."

If you click on the Safety tab, you will find several new .pdf documents related to safety, i.e. "Physics Department Safety Policy" and "Organization of Physics Department Safety Program." The first document states what the department safety policy formally is, and the second document gives an overview of the department safety program. The appendix of the second document is of particular interest since it lists some useful links to the OSU Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) department, relating to, e.g.  chemical security, radiation safety, biosafety, etc. The EHS website is a rich resource for safety information, and you are encouraged to visit this site and see what information is available.
