We wanted to inform you that we are installing a critical update to the 
data center network core this weekend, and we expect many of our major 
services to be impacted.

We plan to communicate this to the university this week in the following 
OnCampus announcement:

Users may have difficulty connecting to some of the university’s major 
IT systems from *midnight to 4 a.m. on Sunday, May 11*. OCIO is updating 
the data center network core that support many of our widely-used 
services, such as PeopleSoft, Carmen, Canvas and my.osu.edu. These 
services will be _intermittently_ unavailable. Based on recent 
experience completing this update on other systems, we expect minimal 
downtime. If you would have problems accessing a system during the 
4-hour maintenance period, you can visit our system status page 
<https://osuitsm.service-now.com/selfservice/system_status.do> to see if 
it is impacted by this work.
