New ASC technology purchasing guidelines

Last week, the ASC CAO and CIO issued new guidelines regarding the 
purchase of technological hardware and services. These guidelines are 
attached.

The guidelines have in fact been enforced informally for quite some 
time. Now that they have been written down, we hope it will make the 
process of buying computer- and A/V-related items smoother, and more 
predictable and transparent.

Please note that the guidelines do allow exceptions, so long as there is 
satisfactory justification provided to the approver. The PCF staff can 
help you navigate that.
