Physics Faculty, Staff, and Students,

As most of you are aware, PHYPCS, the Windows File Server, was offline for the better part of the business day. We are collecting data and watching the services involved to gain an understanding as to what went wrong in an effort to avoid these situations in the future. Additionally, we are working on plans to increase the reliability of this service.

If you are still affected by this outage, please reboot your system and if things do not improve please let us know.

PCF is aware of the terrible inconvenience caused by such outages and we are terribly sorry for the situation.

Sincerely,
Matt
