Another Successful Picnic

I hope you all had a chance to participate in the annual department picnic today.   The weather was perfect and the food was great!  If you enjoyed the delicious food and time to unwind, please join me in thanking those that brought this picnic to you.

Firstly, thanks to Kent Ludwig for arranging the catering, tables, chairs, ice, cookies, condiments, chips etc.  A great job.  It was wonderful to have Weilands do the grilling and allowing our staff to enjoy the picnic.  Thanks to Jean Ball for getting the whole thing approved by the college!

Thanks also to those that helped set up tables and chairs, arrange plates and cutlery etc. - Phil Davids, Mark Reed, Billy Kelley, Pete Gosser, Robin Patterson, Lindsey Thaler, Terry Bradley and our front office students.

Thanks to Kris Dunlap for coordinating the awards for our graduate students and Robert Perry for coordinating the University Distinguished Staff presentation.

It is always a treat to have John Whitcomb come back and make our staff awards presentations.  Many thanks to PSAC for managing the nomination process for this award giving the selection committee complete dossiers to work with in the selection process.  Thanks to Shelley for procuring the awards, letters and certificates and making sure we had paper products and drinks.

I probably forgot any number of folks who helped in some fashion to make sure that things went off without a hitch.  Thanks to you as well.
