[ALERT] Liquid Nitrogen Tank and Vaporizer serving PRB to be Replaced - Schedule Change

The previously announced work to replace the existing liquid nitrogen (LN2) tank and vaporizer system serving the PRB has been rescheduled.

The original dates were December 16th to the 19th and the new dates are December 18th to the 20th.

The date change is necessary because the boom crane sizes needed for the work are larger than foreseen and require a temporary closure of 19th Ave.

Closing 19th Ave during Finals was unacceptable to the University and thus the date has been moved past Finals.

Occupants are reminded that there will be a service interruption to liquid and gaseous nitrogen to the building as follows:

   -  Gaseous Nitrogen out of service for approximately 1 hour on the morning of the 18th.

   -  Liquid Nitrogen out of service from the morning of the 18th until the afternoon of the 20th.

To bridge the liquid nitrogen service gap, users should plan to fill portable dewars shortly before the outage.

Users who are unable to bridge the liquid nitrogen service gap with portable dewars should contact the facility team to make special arrangements.
