File Server Outages

In addition to having a small percentage (between 5 and 10% of 2600 entries) of user and group network shares impacted by the work that was done this weekend, we also experienced a non-related event with a storage server going offline today. Both of these situations have impacted the use of the Windows file server and we have had periods of unavailability for a few hours today.

The storage server and Windows file server are back online. If you are still unable to connect to your user (u:\) or group share you will need to reboot your system to reflect the changes made.

If the connectivity problems persist, please contact action at mps.ohio-state.edu<mailto:action at mps.ohio-state.edu> and we will address these issues ASAP.

We apologize for the loss of productivity and any inconvenience cause by these events.
