Dear all,
I will be teaching the second semester of condensed matter physics 8806.02.
The lectures will be held on T and Th 9:30-11 am in Caldwell 171 across
from Tuttle garage.

The topics covered will be:
(0) Second quantization
(1) Electron-electron interactions; Hartree and Hartree Fock theory;
Density Functional theory
(2) Magnetism
(3) Superconductivity (Ginzburg-Landau and BCS theories)
(4) Topological quantum matter
Both theoretical and experimental developments will be discussed.
Grading: 50% on HWs; 50% on projects and discussions
Prerequisites: Graduate level quantum mechanics and statistical physics;
basic solid state physics (advised).

I encourage you to register for the course.
