eTime/eLeave for Bi-Weekly Pay Period 13 Timekeeping

Hello Physics Faculty, Staff and Students,

If you do not supervise bi-weekly employees or do not approve bi-weekly eTime/eLeave, please disregard this message.

Please submit your Pay Period 13 Bi-Weekly eTime/eLeave requests by 10:00 AM TODAY. Supervisors please make sure requests are approved by 12:00 PM, noon so employees are paid.


*         Employees should: Submit hours worked for each week before leaving on the last day of that work week or before 10:00 am on Monday morning.

Any employee that needs assistance with back-up eTime entry should be contacting Mallory Aliff<mailto:aliff.8 at osu.edu?subject=Timesheet%20Entry%20Help%20Needed> to review ASAP.


*         Student Employees with zero hours worked are required to submit timesheets. These timesheets require approval of supervisors as well.


*         Supervisors should: Approve each week at the latest before 12:00 noon Monday so your employee does not have to wait until the following pay period.

AU13 Semester has now ended. What does this mean?

*         Bi-Weekly paid students who graduate on December 15th are permitted to work one session after graduation (7 weeks) through February 25, 2014. Supervisor's approval is required in advance.

*         Bi-Weekly students not graduating may be permitted to work up to 38 hours per week with their supervisor's approval from December 16th - January 6th. Supervisors, if you envision that your students will work up to 38 hours per week during the semester break please email me to document this up front.

*         Graduate Students who graduate on December 15th are NOT PERMITTED TO CONTINUE WORKING IN A STUDENT CAPACITY. Please contact me for more information.

Student Terminations

*         Students who stop working in Physics should be removed from Physics payroll. Students, see your supervisor or administrative support staff person to confirm your last working day.

o   Supervisors and or Admins should complete a Physics PAR to terminated students, and include last working day/last day to be paid.

o   Timesheet approvers should ensure all timesheets have been submitted by student worker prior to their termination, and that all timesheets have been approved.


REMINDER: OSU Will be Closed on Tuesday, December 24th and Wednesday, December 25h to observe President's Day & celebrate Christmas. OSU offices will be closed and students are not permitted to be working on that day. Please contact me if you have any questions.

Upcoming Holidays: OSU Offices Closed - Students NOT Permitted to Work

*         December 24, 2013 - President's Day Observance

*         December 25, 2013 - Christmas Day

*         January 1, 2014 - New Year's Day
