[ALERT] October 13th Next Quarterly Maintenance Shutdown - Notice 3 of 3 - Building Closed - No Airflow

[Physics facility information]

The next quarterly planned maintenance for the PRB will be conducted on Saturday, October 13th. From 7:00 am to 5:00 pm

This outage will include installing temporary containment structures where future openings will be cut for a new air inlet well that will be dug near the patio.   To do this work, crews must enter the main supply air plenum and fabricate these structures in place.

Occupants should note that during this outage all four air handlers will be simultaneously offline and no air will be circulated within the building.  Consequently, lab and/or computer equipment that relies on air cooling should be shut down, or idled to a suitable degree, to prevent heat buildup.

Occupants with critical need for access to the building during this maintenance period should contact the facility team to make special arrangements for entry.


Please take planned action to prepare for this event.
