Open enrollment for benefits from Human Resources

On Wednesday, faculty and staff can begin making their 2012 benefit elections through Open Enrollment. Please remind faculty and staff in your area to make their benefit elections between Wednesday, November 16 and Friday, December 2. Convenient online enrollment is available at hr.osu.edu/oe<http://hr.osu.edu/oe/>. Employees can also download enrollment forms from the same website.
There are open forums scheduled across all campuses for faculty and staff to hear about plan changes and other options that may be available to help them optimize their coverage. Please encourage everyone in your area to attend. Go to hr.osu.edu/oe<http://hr.osu.edu/oe/> for a complete schedule and to register.
If faculty and staff choose not to make any changes to their benefits for 2012, the only action required is for them to make an online designation of their life insurance beneficiary, as the university is changing life insurance vendors effective January 1. For those who wish to continue participation in Flexible Spending Accounts, re-enrollment is required for 2012.
As a reminder, faculty and staff will need their Ohio State ID (name.#) and password to make benefit elections online. There are still a number of people who have not reset their passwords; they will be unable to use the online system for benefits elections until they do so. Please remind everyone to reset their password. If an individual needs assistance doing so, direct them to my.osu.edu<https://my.osu.edu/public/IdentityManagement/>.
