Extraordinary patient needs drain local blood inventory

URGENT NEED FOR DONORS NOW


  *   One recent patient in Central Ohio alone needed more than 600 blood products to survive extensive surgery.


  *   There is an urgent need for all 8 blood types, particularly O-negative, A-negative and  B-negative.


  *   The Red Cross has seen a dramatic drop in donations since early June and needs more donors to support patients at 41 area hospitals.  The Red Cross is responsible for providing blood for patients to more than 3,000 hospitals across America.

The local inventory of blood is at critical levels.  There is an urgent need for donors of all blood types now.  You can help by giving now.
