Mike Chini is joining the OSU Dept. of Physics!

Hi Everyone,

I am delighted to let everyone know that Dr. Mike Chini just accepted our offer of a faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor with tenure in our department! His scholarship is focused on Ultrafast Physics. He will be joining our department Aug. 15 of 2024. Please be sure to welcome him. He will be around from time to time before he officially joins the department.

A huge thank you goes to: (i) Lou DiMauro, who chaired the search and tenure review committee, (ii) the search and tenure review committee: Robert Baker, Ralf Bundschuh, Jay Gupta, Sasha Landsman, Doug Schumacher, and (iii) Ruth Leonard, who organized all the visits, talks, and other logistics.

Running a successful faculty search is a tremendous amount of work. I am grateful to everyone that helped make this a successful search.
