Geraldine Cochran is joining OSU Dept. of Physics!

Hi Everyone,

I am delighted to let everyone know that Prof. Geraldine Cochran accepted a tenure-track faculty position at the rank of Associate Professor in our department! She will be joining our department July 1 of this year. Please be sure to welcome her when she arrives if not before.

A huge thank you goes to: (i) Andrew Heckler, who chaired the search committee, (ii) the search committee: Lei Bao, Jim Fowler, Dick Furnstahl, Monica Cox, and Jon Pelz and (iii) Ruth Leonard, who organized all of the visits, talks, and other logistics.

Running a successful faculty search is a tremendous amount of work. I am grateful to everyone that helped make this a successful search.
