A successful Alpheus Smith Lecture!

Hi Everyone,

I thought Donna Strickland’s visit for the 60th annual Alpheus Smith Lecture was a great success.

A huge thanks goes to Ruth Leonard who organized and planned this event. It was a tremendous amount of work, and I am very grateful to the significant effort over multiple months she put into making this event a success.

In addition, a big thanks to Jessie Middleton for organizing the hugely popular Student Social with Dr. Strickland, Terry Bradley and Bryan Dunlap for running a flawless lecture, to Mark Reed, Phil Davids, June Sprowls and Kris Dunlap for managing logistics, and to Lindsey Thaler for preparing the posters. What a great team effort.

Finally, thanks to the many of you that participated.

It sure was fun to see so many of you in-person!
