    Dear All,

     I want to share a piece of news that I provide at today’s Faculty Meeting.  This academic year is the last year of my four-year appointment as Department Chair.  Earlier this week I informed the Division Dean that I would not seek reappointment and I will be stepping down as Department Chair at the end of May 2020.  The Divisional Dean will be providing guidance for establishing a procedure to identify the next Department Chair.  As these details emerge they will be shared with faculty, staff, and students in the department.

     While this is my last year, I still have a list of goals that I would like to accomplish. These were shared with the faculty today.  I will be meeting with the graduate students tomorrow and the staff next Wednesday.  In those meetings,  I will be reviewing those goals.  I look forward to working with all of you over the remainder of the academic year to accomplish these.
