Hello Innovators!
Happy April! I want to share with you 3 activities taking place this month. We hope you and your colleagues will be able to join us!

On Thursday, April 13, we will be hosting the Fitness Bootcamp in the Shoe event! This fun fitness event featuring OSU's ROTC program will demonstrate support of the military through friendly competition as you are able to participate in six different fitness events. All fitness levels are welcome! We will have fitness modifications for all exercises. Come as you please, and leave as you need to!

Cost:  Canned good donation for the Buckeye Food Alliance.
Time: 10:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m. (Come as you please, leave as you need to!)

We are excited to inform you that, on Monday April 17th, between 11:00 and 1:00, we will be launching our new two mile campus walking loop, the Buckeye Path to Wellness! As part of our formal partnership with an organization in Washington DC, Partnership for a Healthier America, we agreed to create a 2 mile walking path on campus to meet a requirement of building a healthy campus. This collaborative effort on behalf of Buckeye Wellness, the OSU Medical Center, OSU Student Life, the OSU Health Plan, HR/Your Plan for Health and the OSU Athletic Department has finally come to fruition. We would like to invite you to help kick-off the  event. Please note the kick-off location will be determined over the next couple of days when I sit down and talk with Bern and I will let you know next week. We will also send out a map of the walk once I get it back from facilities. The festivities will begin at approximately 11:00 am

Lastly, the Interprofessional Innovation Symposium on April 12 is filling up quickly, but you can still reserve your spot by registering here<https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_2lWLrNZeUOQKLdj>. The symposium is free to attend and open to the public, so I encourage you to extend this invitation to those in your network who are searching for inspiration.

INTERPROFESSIONAL INNOVATION SYMPOSIUM

Learn from health care innovators who took the journey from turning academic research into a successful business. Speakers include Dr. Kathy Bowles, PhD, RN, of the University of Pennsylvania, and Eric Heil MBA, former CEO and co-founder of RightCare Solutions, a pioneering medical technology company. Heil helped develop Dr. Bowles' research into software as an engineering student at the University of Pennsylvania as part of his senior project, and later commercialized it as a graduate student at Wharton School of Business. NaviHealth, a subsidiary of Cardinal Health, acquired this software in 2015. Kevin Taylor, VP Product Management, Global Market Development at Cardinal Health, will join the conversation to provide insight on how industry evaluates academic start-ups.
