I made a spreadsheet to serve as an electronic log of all the consults we do (similar to the old Consult Notebook), so everyone can access it and see what has been completed and which patients still need follow up. You can find it in the Shared Folder in the Hospital Consults folder. The layout is the exact same as the consult notebook we had back in the day. If a consult is finished, we just need to make sure we write "yes" in the "Completed" column and leave it blank if not so someone can quickly glance at the spreadsheet and see which consults still needs to be completed. We can tweak it as needed moving forward.

Follow-up to our discussion this morning, the email below explains why we are not using Pod F at this time.  Pod F is fully functional but it is a matter of cleaning/cost.

I spoke to Ronda about consults and the plan for  a spreadsheet and daily schedule.  She is aware that the residents will be the first responders for consults requested through EPIC and you will reach out to her as needed.

Just to make sure we are all on the same page regarding pod usage - Right now there are only 20 chairs available for use between pod D and E. Until we hire additional dentists or can show that we can fill those chairs on a regular basis, we have been requested to leave F pod closed and work within D and E pods only.    This was direction from Administration in an effort to reduce costs in maintaining and cleaning rooms that are being minimally utilized.  Obviously this will require some flexibility similar to what we did in the old clinic.  From a scheduling standpoint we still need to be conscious of the number of chairs available.
