This email requires your urgent attention. It's not often there is homework assigned outside of rehearsal in MGC, but this is one of those rare times. Take a look.



1) Star-Spangled Banner Music


We will be using VPM Emerson Slicer's arrangement of "The Star-Spangled Banner" for later events. A copy of the sheet music is attached to this email. Dr. Ward requests you have the sheet music printed out by 4:10 PM on Wednesday, January 31.



2) Finance Committee Position


There is currently an open position on the Finance Committee that VPF Dane Truelson is looking to fill. Members of the Finance Committee may assist in apparel design and distribution, blazer distribution and collection, dues collection, manage all CD sales from events including tailgates, concerts, and other events, and brainstorm and plan potential forms of income for the organization.


To apply to join the committee, you must write a letter of intent. Letters of intent should express why you are interested in joining the committee, relevant prior experience, and any particular goals/ideas you want to pursue during your time as a committee member. They also should not exceed 300 words in length. Letters of intent must be emailed to VPF Dane Truelson (truelson.4 at osu.edu) and President Adam Othman (othman.27 at osu.edu) by 11:59 PM, Friday, February 2.  If you are not able to submit a letter of intent by this deadline but still wish to apply for the position, or if you have any other questions, contact Dane Truelson immediately.



3) Social Fees


If you have not yet paid your social fees for this semester, contact VPF Dane Truelson (truelson.4 at osu.edu) immediately. You know who you are, and more importantly, WE know who you are.



4) Alumni Mixer


The Men's Glee Club will be hosting an Alumni Mixer in the Burgee Room of Nosker House on Friday, February 16, from 7:00-9:30 PM. Come and mingle with both your fellow current members and alumni from years past in a night of camaraderie and memories. I can say from personal experience that this was an excellent experience, and many of the alumni who attended had amazing stories to tell. Pizza and drinks will also be provided. There is no cost to attend, and while attendance is not mandatory, I guarantee you will be missing out if you miss this event.
