[OACRAO] Graduation-related fees

Hi Maria,

We do charge a late fee for graduation applications. Our deadline is typically within the first few weeks of the semester, and we include in our communications with students that if they apply after the deadline a $50 late fee will be assessed (on top of the $75 graduation application fee that everyone is charged). For our purposes it doesn’t matter if they’re applying just as a walker or for full degree conferral – their record still goes through the approval process. We do not charge students again in a subsequent semester, however, if they’ve already applied previously.

Our ceremony is next Saturday and we’re still getting 1-2 applications per day for it. We’ll put people in as much as we can, but students who apply at this point won’t be in the program because that’s already gone to print.
