[OACRAO] Procedure/Language Used For Informing a Student of Immediate Expulsion/Suspension

All,

I would like to ask you what your procedure looks like, and what language you use in a letter/documentation for informing a student who is being expelled/suspended immediately. For a student who violated student conduct policy, posing an immediate risk to other students in the area, what is your procedure for handling that?

Specifically, what office does that letter come from, or if it is from a committee of sorts, what offices are in that committee?

We do have a procedure and process of sorts in place, but they were put in place prior to any instances having occurred. Going through it now, we are realizing that some parts of it are not entirely clear, and so I was asked to inquire to gather some additional information and resources from other schools who have better defined policies/procedures in place.
