Hi Cindy,

We update the name on our records and only retain the former name in our system for reference. We do not print former names on our transcripts and we will (upon request) reprint a diploma with a new name.

OACRAOans:

A new one for me. We have a person who has a legal name change. We've always retained the diploma name and/or the maiden name on an official transcript as well as the new name.

Eample
Cynthia Suter is on my transcript but Cynthia Kempf is also listed as this is who I was when I graduated.

Question: This graduate wants only the current name to show. Since this isn't our practice I am curious how you might proceed.
