Subject: Office of International Affairs Soliciting Graduate Student Applicants for the Fulbright U.S. Student Program
Dear Colleagues,
As a reminder, the Office of International Affairs is soliciting graduate student applicants for the 2025-2026 Fulbright U.S. Student Program<https://us.fulbrightonline.org/> award cycle. As the U.S. Department of State’s flagship international exchange program, Fulbright offers opportunities in over 140 countries for students (U.S. citizens) in all disciplines. Fulbrighters live, work, and learn alongside their host community while representing the U.S. and fostering binational relationships. Ohio State’s application deadline for the 2025-2026 award cycle is August 13th, 2024.
The Fulbright U.S. Student Program offers two main awards: the Fulbright Open Study/Research<https://us.fulbrightonline.org/applicants/types-of-awards/study-research> (S/R) award and the Fulbright English Teaching Assistant<https://us.fulbrightonline.org/applicants/types-of-awards/english-teaching-assistant-awards> (ETA) award. The Open Study/Research award provides students the opportunity to conduct research or enroll in graduate study abroad. The English Teaching Assistant connects awardees with institutions in their host country to teach English for a year. Award details may vary significantly by country of choice, so students are encouraged to explore their options and read each award description carefully. Please share this information with the graduate students in your department so they can learn about these opportunities and the support services available to applicants.
The Office of International Affairs offers comprehensive support to graduate students who wish to pursue Fulbright. Eligible graduate students in your academic unit who are interested in applying for the 2025-26 award year must fill out the Interest Registration Form<https://osu.az1.qualtrics.com/jfe/form/SV_8GNvZZQAr8l34GO> and return it to Laura Pearce (pearce.58 at osu.edu<mailto:pearce.58 at osu.edu>) in the Office of International Affairs by no later than May 31st, 2024.
Thank you for your cooperation and continued support of the Fulbright U.S. Student Program.
Sincerely,
Laura
