Dear MES Forum,

The results are in! We conducted a survey Spring Semester and one last week. There is a desire for some in-person and some online events that bring colleagues in different fields together in conversation. There is also a strong interest in learning from historians. Check out the full results below.

We’re going to bring you the best of both worlds with an in-person forum<https://mesc.osu.edu/events/middle-east-studies-forum-AU23> on September 12th that will allow people to join virtually. Who would you like us to bring as a virtual guest speaker? Feel free to hit “reply” now and share your thoughts with the listserve, or to get in contact with me directly.

     *   "Middle eastern lives, conditions, and artistic expressions in the second decade after the so called “Arab Spring”. What are the echoes of those events over a decade after?"
     *   "I'm interested in diasporas, mutlilingualism, language education, and identity in transnational

SWANA communities. "

  *   108 opens on first round, 29 opens on second round, only 2 responses.
