Jackie makes a very important point. But they did mention the option of
using a pump.
At any rate, there is something decidedly Freudian about the whole
business, including any possible "medicinal" rationale. That macabre
horror 《饺子》(Dumplings, 2004) comes to mind. The clinical commodification
of something so intimate and essential in the bond between a mother and
her child is creepy to say the least.

And don't forget Wu Zuxiang's story “Young Master Gets His Tonic” (官官的补
品;
1932), about a rich "young master" who is given human milk from a local
peasant woman to help him recover from a car accident.
Freud converges with Marx.
