"Leftover women" is such an uncivilized term that devalues unmarried
women. Men, it reflects properly your minds. Why not reflect on 'leftover
human," those buried beneath social hierarchy? Same time, "leftover" might
be more accurate to be 'crystalized'. Possibly?

I agree with Chantelle, the term is quite demeaning and based on ideas of
statistical symmetry proposed by the state.

At the same time, posting an article does not necessarily reflect an
agreement with topic of the article.

Furthermore, even the short video/article is not an endorsement of this
idea of "shèngnǚ." 

Rather, the article discusses this term in a limited way, and the way the
idea is circulating in society, and how it is being studied (at least by
one sociologist).
