Tenure-track Assistant Professor of Chinese Language and Literature
Williams College

Williams College seeks a tenure-track Assistant Professor in Chinese
language and modern Chinese literature beginning September 2013.  The
faculty member will be a core member of the Chinese Program in the
Department of Asian Studies.  Teaching responsibilities include four
courses annually and one Winter Study (January term) course every two
years.  Qualified candidates should be able to teach courses in modern
Chinese literature and culture as well as all levels of Chinese language.
Candidates with strong teaching experience whose research areas are in
modern Chinese literature, film, cultural studies, or diasporic studies
are encouraged to apply.  Candidates should have Ph.D. in hand by time of
appointment.  To apply, send letter of application, curriculum vitae,
graduate school records, sample syllabi for literature and language
courses, sample teaching video, and three recommendation letters to:
