I am with Kirk on this issue. Classroom (educational) screenings should
not require permission. As far as I know (both in the US and in NZ), all
my colleagues teaching in film studies regularly show their films without
any need for special permission. As long as they are screened as part of
the teaching hours (public screenings even with no charge are a different
case)

But, of course, I maybe wrong...
