INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY UPDATES
Virtual Desktop Now Available for Instructors and Students
Virtual Desktop allows instructors and students to virtually access a select set of software applications from anywhere with internet access. This cloud access enables extended use of these applications for students outside of physical lab spaces and allows instructors to provide the same coursework for both in-person and remote learning. Visit the Virtual Desktop page<https://it.osu.edu/virtual-desktop> to learn more, including the software that is available, and connect to the tool.  As a reminder, the only way to retain work done in the virtual desktop environment is to save it in the user's One Drive account.
Teaching and Learning Tool Enhancements, Including Adobe Creative Cloud
OTDI is offering new tools this academic year, including student access to Adobe Creative Cloud. Adobe Creative Cloud access is free to all Ohio State students, faculty and staff<https://it.osu.edu/adobe/>. This suite of desktop and mobile apps gives you the tools to create professional videos, photos, websites and more.
Student Technology Loan Program
The Student Technology Loan Program<https://it.osu.edu/student-technology-loan-program> has devices available at Ohio State Marion for students who are eligible for a technology. Students who have this need contact their advisors to start the process. This program ("Digital Flagship 2.0") is intended to provide technology for students who do not have it readily available since the Digital Flagship 1.0 program has ended.

Five Nights on Campus is pleased to announce its new season line-up
Five Nights on Campus is a performing arts series designed specifically for the residents of the seven-county regional service area of Ohio State Marion and is intended to complement the other entertainment opportunities available in the area. This series features a variety of performance styles from traditional Irish folk music to the big band era, from Broadway to traditional choral, and even historical performance narrative, with an opportunity for the audience to meet with artists at a reception at the end of each evening. The mission of Five Nights on Campus is to provide exceptional and diverse cultural and educational opportunities and to encourage the community to be a part of campus life. Stress Buster Breaks
Stress Buster Breaks every Wednesday starting September 7th through November 16th from 12:30 to 1 p.m., in Morrill Hall, Room 160.  Just drop in. Students can learn all about stress management and experience relaxation exercises to address and decrease stress in the middle of their week. EXP credit is available.

RESTORE is back
Students, staff and faculty are invited to enjoy one hour of total relaxation to enhance calm and address stress. This might be the best hour of your week! Instruction by the Wonder Within, yoga mats provided.  Every Wednesday from 5 to 6 pm starting 10/5 through 11/9 in the Multipurpose Room, Alber Student Center. No RSVP needed, just show up.  EXP credit available.

Sign-up for flu shots biometric screenings (faculty and staff only)
Flu shot appointments have been populated and are available to schedule.  Nurses will be at Ohio State Marion on Monday, October 4th in Maynard Hall, Guthery Community Room for biometric screenings and flu shots.
At this point, all biometric screening appointments have been filled.  Please check Link to Health to see if you are scheduled for a biometric screening.  If you can no longer keep that appointment, please cancel the appointment.  Participants can also complete a biometric screening at a scheduled event on the Columbus campus or by visiting their primary care physician and having them complete the attached form.
Registration details for flu shots:

  1.  Visit yp4h.osu.edu<https://yp4h.osu.edu/> and click the "Schedule a Screening" button in the middle of the page.
  2.  Log in with your Ohio State name.# and password.
  3.  Highlight "Flu Vaccinations". Place 10/4/22 in both date boxes.
  4.  Under Locations, search for Regional Campuses
  5.  Click "Find Appointments or Classes".
  6.  Continue to schedule the appointment.  If you experience any difficulty, please contact Customer Service at (614) 292-4700.
