Yue,
IMHO, if the two scanners are identical, then it should not matter on which
scanner each technologist scans 30 patients twice (or 15 patients thrice).
(When I was at MD Anderson the one time it was performed for 5
technologists operating two identical machines, that is how it was done.)
I am interested in others' perspectives about this, though. A discussion
about this is included in the (to be published in the not too distant
future) AAPM TG Report 367 (Quality Control of Dual-energy X-ray
Absorptiometry (DXA) Systems).
