[Intl_DxMedPhys] Dose Calibrator Linearity Testing Frequency

Dear colleagues,

Most guidance (AAPM TG-181, IAEA, IEC, EANM, and manufacturer manuals) specifies a minimum of annual linearity testing, plus acceptance and post-repair/relocation. However, ACR accreditation documents recommend quarterly testing, and most textbooks for technologists and physicists still present quarterly as the routine standard.

In practice, this raises the question: should we consider quarterly testing as best practice, given the central role of the dose calibrator, or is annual testing sufficient?

I would be very interested to hear how your departments are currently handling this.
