Good afternoon,
As part of a survey initially instigated by an AAPM Task Group, we have collected substantial data on the failure rates and performance distribution of Radiography Automatic Exposure Control (AEC) tests. We are looking to publish our results in a manuscript which will not be affiliated with the task group.
To expand the scope of our analysis, we are seeking contributions from physicists who have access to data from annual physics reports over a period of 3–5 years. Specifically, we are looking for those who have:
1. Results from AEC sensitivity testing (AEC target exposure) and
2. Results on the consistency of AEC performance with kV and thickness tracking.
We are looking for more data to ensure that our findings are not disproportionately influenced by specific equipment types or testing methodologies. This data will be compiled and analyzed for inclusion in a manuscript.
If you are interested in contributing or have any questions, please feel free to contact me at nicole.lafata at duke.edu.
Thank you,
Nicole Lafata
