Good day and Happy Friday,
The list administrators wanted to share some guidelines that we created for the list in the hopes of fostering and maintaining a professional and collegial atmosphere (see below).
Additionally, here are some list administrative links:
This site can be used to sign up for the list, feel free to share with any other interested colleagues, trainees, or others who may be interested:

Intl_DxMedPhys Listserv - Statement of Purpose & Guidelines
The Intl_DxMedPhys listserv is intended as a professional forum for discussions directly related to Diagnostic Medical Physics. The goal is to foster productive exchanges of knowledge, experience, and resources among medical physicists, with a focus on technical, clinical, research, educational, and professional topics relevant to our profession.
The listserv is intended to be a professional and collegial space, and members are expected to conduct themselves with courtesy and respect in all discussions.
Listserv Guidelines
1. Relevance: Posts should be directly related to Diagnostic Medical Physics and in line with the goals stated above.
2. Post Frequency:
* To encourage a variety of perspectives and limit unwanted emails, list members should limit the number of replies they make in each thread. Additional posts by one person on a topic should introduce new perspectives, avoiding reiterating prior statements or delivering successive rebuttals to opposing viewpoints. It is expected that if the topic remains interesting to the community, others will contribute, and the conversation will not be dominated by a few voices.
* Members should consider responding directly to individuals off-list for comments that are not of general interest to most members.
3. Professionalism: Discussions should remain professional and constructive. Personal attacks and inflammatory language will not be tolerated. If there is a concern about a post, please contact the author directly or the list administrators rather than engaging in public disputes. List administrators will address most issues offline, directly with individuals involved.
4. Moderation & Enforcement:
* If a discussion becomes counterproductive, moderators may step in, and request members close the thread.
* Once moderators request a topic to be closed, please honor that request. Further posts may result in a suspension of posting privileges. It is not intended to shut down any person or perspective, only to prevent discussion from devolving into unproductive or inflammatory rhetoric.
5. Moderation Approach:
The list is administered by Kevin Wunderle, Kevin Little, and David Hintenlang. We will do our best to be fair, equitable, and reasonable in moderation decisions. We understand that you may disagree with a moderation decision, and we encourage you to contact us directly to discuss any issues.
* We are honored to manage the list, but it pays slightly less than our day jobs, so we may not always be on top of issues immediately-but we will do our best.
* Our intent is to be impartial; none of us want to intentionally direct or filter content beyond keeping discussions aligned with the purpose of the list.
Final Thoughts
This listserv is a valuable resource for the Diagnostic Medical Physics community, and we appreciate everyone's efforts to keep it a professional, focused, and constructive forum. Thank you for your cooperation and participation!
Respectfully,
Kevin Wunderle
Kevin Little
David Hintenlang
