Speakers
* Laurette Dube, McGill Center for the Convergence of Health and Economics
* Laurette Dubé is an Emerita Professor and James McGill Chair of Consumer and Lifestyle Psychology and Marketing at the Desautels Faculty of Management. She is the Founding Chair and Scientific Director of the McGill Centre for the Convergence of Health and Economics (MCCHE). Originally trained as a nutritionist, with graduate degrees in finances (MBA), marketing (MPS), and behavioral decision making/consumer psychology (PhD), Dr. Dubé’s lifetime research interest bears on the study of affects, behavioral economics, neurobehavioral, and socio-economic processes underlying consumption, lifestyle, and health behavior. Her translational research examines how such knowledge can inspire more effective behavioral change and ecosystem transformation as scale to address complex challenges and possibilities facing modern society.
* Giancarlo Guizzardi, University of Twente
* Giancarlo Guizzardi is a Full Professor of Software Science and Evolution as well as Chair and Department Head of Semantics, Cybersecurity & Services (SCS) at the University of Twente, The Netherlands. He has also been a Guest Professor at the Department of Computer and Systems Sciences (DSV) at Stockholm University, in Sweden, at the Technical University of Vienna, Austria, and the University of Trento, Italy. He has been active for nearly three decades in the areas of Formal and Applied Ontology, Conceptual Modeling, Enterprise Computing and Information Systems Engineering, working with a multidisciplinary approach in Computer Science that aggregates results from Philosophy, Cognitive Science, Logics and Linguistics. He is the main contributor to the Unified Foundational Ontology (UFO) - the upcoming ISO/IEC CD 21838-5, and to the OntoUML modeling language. He is currently an associate editor of a number of journals including Applied Ontology and Data & Knowledge Engineering. He is currently the chair of the Steering Committee of the International Conference on Conceptual Modeling (ER) and a member of the Steering Committees of CAiSE, EDOC, and IEEE CBI, and a member of the advisory board of the International Association for Ontology and its Applications (IAOA). Finally, he is an ER Fellow.
* Erik Schultes, GoFair Foundation
* Erik co-founded partners in FAIR (piF) consulting, advising organizations on the application of the FAIR Principles to trusted AI systems. He is co-author of the original FAIR Guiding Principles publication and since 2018 has served as Lead FAIR Implementation at the GO FAIR Foundation. Erik co-developed the first FAIR maturity evaluation service, architected the widely adopted FAIR Implementation Profile for driving FAIR convergence, and created the Three-Point FAIRification Framework used to accredit FAIR awareness training programs for executives and front-line data producers. He currently serves as co-chair of the FAIR Digital Object Forum and editor at FAIR Connect Journal. Erik holds a guest researcher appointment at the Metabolomics and Analytics Center, Leiden Academic Center for Drug Research. An evolutionary biologist by training, he has led data-intensive research efforts at the University of California Los Angeles, The Whitehead Institute for Biomedical Research at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and the Santa Fe Institute.
