The word in semihut form is correctly romanized mahshevot, as in, “the thoughts of X”. In the case of your title, not in semihut, the current E-Sh vocalizes it מַחְשָׁבוֹת; its correct romanization is mahshavot. (Sorry, Yossi.)

How would you romanize מחשבות?  My title is מחשבות על אמנות מודרנית

I’m seeing most records in the LC catalog are “mahshavot” (dot under h) but there are 24 records with “mahashavot” (dot under h) and 15 records with “mahshevot” (dot under h).  I see it all those ways ways in my (not up-to-date) version of Even Shoshan.
