It should be eliṭizm.
1. According to the Academy of Hebrew Language, all Shevas in foreign words are considered silent ("כל שווא במילים לועזיות הוא שווא נח").
2. There cannot be a syllable that consists only of a Sheva. If a Sheva is not followed by a vocalized letter, it cannot be שווא נע and should not be Romanized as e.

אליטיזם: it appears in E.-Sh. with a sheva under the zayin. Is it eliṭizem or eliṭizm? I think the latter, but ocn936392303 currently has the former.
(The next entry in E.-Sh. is אליטסט, vocalized the same as אליטיזם, with a sheva under the samekh. That is clearly eliṭisṭ; wouldn’t אליטיזם follow the pattern: eliṭizm?)
Thanks, Jasmin
