[Heb-NACO] Correcting dates in authority record 010 n 95001542

Hi Rini,


I just checked the list of NACO participants and it does not appear that NLI currently is a member of  NACO. Please correct me if I am wrong.


If not, then certainly we can explore the possibility of NLI joining either independently as an institution for non-Hebrew script records or the NACO Hebrew Funnel for Hebraica records.


If NLI is a member, please ignore the above.


If it is not, please contact me privately on how to proceed with the NAR in question as well as  possibilities for NLI NACO participation.

I'm working on the authority record of   n  95001542  (Dov Ber, ǂc mi-Leoṿi, ǂd 1827-1876)

The OCLC record has note: THIS 1XX FIELD CANNOT BE USED UNDER RDA UNTIL THIS RECORD HAS BEEN REVIEWED AND/OR UPDATED



According to a comprehensive study by David Assaf, הציץ ונפגע :אנטומיה של מחלוקת חסידית = Beguiled by knowledge :an anatomy of a hasidic controversy  (2012),

Dov Ber was born in תקפ"א (1820-1821).

May I correct the date of birth in the OCLC record, if I add the source?
