As you can see, I created the initial version of the NAR of Zalman Shneour.
I don't remember which source was my "Strongest" basis for the dates.
As you can see in my online lexicon

his birthday.
I looked up this morning several sources. I believe some of those are based
on the same sources.
So this what I found:
Kressel - Shevat 646, 1886 and so also Ofek in Leksikon Ofek le-sifrut
yeladim, so also the Yiddish (8 volumes) Lexicon and the archives of the
National Library in Jerusalem and Dan Miron's article in the Yivo
Encyclopedia of the Jews in Eastern Europe.
According to the autobiography that Shneour wrote and sent to J. Klausner
in 1947 he was born in 1887 and so also Z. Reisen in his 4 volumes of
Yiddish Lexicon, Tidhar, the Encyc. Judaica (1972) and the Russian Encyc.
