[Heb-NACO] Mishle with commentary

Hi Bob,

I agree with your decision on treating it as a compilation.
We base this decision on  RDA LC-PCC PS 6.27.1.6 which says:

LC-PCC PS for 6.27.1.6
COMMENTARY, ANNOTATIONS, ILLUSTRATIVE CONTENT, ETC., ADDED TO A PREVIOUSLY EXISTING WORK
LC practice: If the resource contains the original work and a separate commentary (or commentaries) and the commentary has its own title proper, apply RDA 6.27.1.2 or 6.27.1.4 to the compilation.

However, you will need to determine the preferred access point for the commentary, i.e. since you have determined it is a work unto itself you will need to select the preferred form of the title. 

The work was first published in 1910 under the title "Perush ʻal Mishle" as well as 2nd and 3rd editions; and now the title on your recourse  appaear as: Perush Rabenu Yonah mi-Gerondi.

Hello folks:

I have a book here on my desk, the cataloging solution for  which I'd
like to get feedback

The book

Mishle im perush Rabenu Yonah mi-Gerondi ; yotse le-or al-pi kitve yad
im blah blah blah me-et ha-Rav Yair Avidan.

A quick glance at the text reveals that it contains the full Hebrew
text of Mishle with about three times as much space given over to the
commentary.

The common AACR2 solution to cataloging this would have been

1300  Bible.$pProverbs.$lHebrew.$f 2015
24510 Mishle im perush Rabenu Yonah ....
7000  Jonah ben Abraham Gerondi

But under RDA?  My proposed solution is to treat this as a
compilation, and this is where I'd like some feedback

24500 Mishle im perush ...
73002 $iContainer of (expression):$a Bible. ǂp Proverbs. $l Hebrew. $f 2015
70002 $iContainer of (work):$a Jonah ben Abraham Gerondi, [dates]. $t
Perush (Mishle)

So: what do you think?

I ask because this sort of thing, text and commentary, is common, and
I may be in my usual spot out in the weeds, not far from left field.
