[Heb-NACO] safah berurah

As far as I could determine, Mishnah berurah is found only in the Talmud (Shabbat 139a), so since it’s not biblical, the rule doesn’t apply.

Safah berurah/verurah is biblical, so the rule should apply, but the question is, if it appears in a non-biblical context, such as a book title, should the rule still apply? I suspect very few people would search under safah verurah, so would suggest giving it as an alternate reading and using berurah in the main heading.

This question has raised its (ugly) head before and been swept under the carpet (is that a mixed metaphor?), especially with regard to "Mishnah v/berurah."  I think Cliff Miller will remember.  The "rules" say to imitate the vocalization of the Bible when the phrase is from the Bible, but the thought of correcting all the "berurahs" in the database is daunting, to say nothing of adding the relevant 246s which would be helpful if not strictly required.
I must leave it to currently practicing catalogers to consult their own consciences, but a consistent decision would be nice.
