[Heb-NACO] Romanization Question

Of course it’s not solved. Romanization is inherently unwise. A user will be looking for the original script. How often have any of use ever looked up an English word based on how it is written with Hebrew characters?

… which kind of shows that the issue is not very well solved, IMHO.

Heidi,
I believe our practice was Pesefas and not Psefas.

Unless there is strong disagreement we shall romanize

פסיפס

as "psefas"

Hi all,
We had an interesting discussion about the Romanization of foreign-loan words. Can we get to any agreement about how to Romanize the word פסיפס?
Thanks,
Smadar
