[Heb-NACO] History of the Yiddish language, by Max Weinreich

Colleagues,
I know this is not a Heb-NACO question, but I am sure that I will find the
answer here:
We have the 1980 edition of Max Weinreich book on the History of the
Yiddish Language, published by the University of Chicago Press.
A patron asked us to purchase the 2008 Yale University Press edition as
being expanded. Does anyone know if the 2008 edition is an updated edition?
