Subject: Re: [Heb-NACO] rabbinic phrase
In rabbinic parlance, the author and his book are often identified, and the book is personified, so in that sense it would make sense for the Be'er ha-golah to be the armor/arms-bearer of the Shulhan arukh.
Barry
In the text, the commentary is titled "Be'er ha-golah." Does it make sense that the commentary, not the commentator (Rivkes), is called the "nose kelim"?
Thank you, Shunit and Barry, for your help.
Joan
How about "Armor bearer<s>" ?
