[Heb-NACO] rabbinic phrase

I believe that "armor bearer" would be the correct origin, and in the
context discussed means that the work so described is subsidiary to and
supporting a more important work.


BTW, I've heard the phrase used in a contemporary context to refer to a
"tag along" or a "gofer" in a sarcastic sense.
