Join disability rights lawyer and author Lainey Feingold for an interactive discussion about disability civil rights and digital media. Not everyone can use a mouse, see a screen, or hear a video. Cognitive disabilities may impact how we interact with screen content. What does the law say about the rights of people with disabilities to consume and create digital media? Can disability rights laws keep up with emerging technologies like augmented and virtual reality (AR / VR)? What strategies is the disability community using to protect the right to consume and create content in the digital age?

Lainey Feingold is a disability rights lawyer focusing on digital accessibility, an international speaker, and the author of Structured Negotiation, A Winning Alternative to Lawsuits. In 2017 She was named a Legal Rebel by the ABA Journal and was the individual recipient of the JAmerican Bar Association’s Lawyer as Problem Solver award. Lainey received the California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) award in 2000 and 2014 for her digital accessibility and Structured Negotiation legal work.
