Hi, my name is Devon Douglas and I am a proud alumni of Ohio State University and the DISCO program! I am currently a doctoral student at Wright State University’s School of Professional Psychology. I am planning a conference with one of my professors, Dr. Julie Williams, Psy.D., called Breaking Silences, Demanding Crip Justice: Sex, Sexuality, & Disability. This conference represents a proud claiming of disability identity as a natural and normal human experience that enhances, rather than diminishes, one’s sexuality. We are hosting this conference to provide a safe space for open discussion and learning to promote equality, inclusivity, and social justice

My particular committee is responsible for the Art exhibition. We are accepting art in all forms included but not limited to: visual art & photography; poetry, music, or solo performance work; and storytelling. If this is something you are interested in I have attached the call for proposals and website. Please feel free to pass this along to anyone you think may be interested or post it on social media with the hashtag #WSUBreakingSilences.
Please note submissions are due by November 23, 2016 and the conference is September 22-24, 2017.
