[Comicsstudiessociety] CSS 2021 Conference: Pop-Up #1

As #CSS2021 quickly approaches, we are thrilled to announce our first
pop-up event prior to the conference! Please join us on Friday, July 9, for:

*"Five Shops Named Mo's": A Pop-Up Snapshot of Four Decades of Commerce,
Community, Creativity, and Crisis in Comics Retail*

This event will feature:


   - Dr. Michael Phoenix (St. Louis Public Schools): Fan History of All
   American Collectibles/Mo's Comics
   - Professor Thomas Eyssell (University of Missouri—St. Louis): Fandom
   and Finance in St. Louis
   - Skyle LaCerte (Washington University In St. Louis, D.B. Dowd Modern
   Graphic History Library): Comics, Illustrations, and Archives in St. Louis
   - Professor Daniel Yezbick (Wildwood College): Interview with All
   American Collectibles Proprietor and Owner David L. Schmidt

This event will conclude with a live walk-through of the store and
celebration of local fandom with David Schmidt as well as a brief Q&A.
