Roundtable at CSSC 2020 Congress at Western University London, Ontario

June 3 – 4, 2020

Topic: Race and racism in Comics with a focus on fan studies and audience
studies

Hi all,

I’m putting together a roundtable discussion on race and racism at the
intersection of comic studies and fan studies and/or audience studies.
Ideally, looking for one or two participants whose research is situated in
these areas of study. This roundtable is for the annual Canadian Society
for the Study of Comics / Société canadienne pour l’étude de la bands
dessinée conference, which is taking place on June 3 – 4th as part of
Congress at Western University in London, Ontario.

The goal is to engage in a discussion and reflection on race and racism in
comics with a particular focus on fan studies and audience studies.

Details:

   -

   Acceptance to the conference is not guaranteed at this stage of the
   process
   -

   Researchers/Graduate students of colour will be privileged
   -
